I really liked
Danielle Ganek's debut novel,
Lulu Meets God and Doubts Him, and I'm hoping that her second proves just as enjoyable. While the first dealt with the sometimes absurd New York art scene,
The Summer We Met Gatsby is about "two half-sisters search for the 'thing of utmost value' in an inherited ramshackle Southampton cottage." What could be better for reading on the beach in the Hamptons than a story that actually takes place there and sounds a wee bit like a Gray Gardens adventure? Happy Reading!
