The release of the McDonalds Bakugan happy meal toys in 2010 is no doubt timed to coincide with Christmas. Bakugan toys, based on the Japanese anime TV series, have been extremely hot toys for Christmas over the last two years.

There are 8 Bakugan toys in the McDonalds Bakugan 2010 happy meal set of toys. Also included with each McDonalds Bakugan happy meal toy is a Bakugan Ability Card featuring the Bakugan character.

The release of the McDonalds Transformers happy meal toys is timed to coincide with the release of the new Transformers Prime TV series. There are 6 Transformers figures in the McDonalds Transformers 2010 happy meal set of toys. Each figure has a slightly different concept but each fires off a blade or missile by pushing a button on the body.

As we have come to expect with McDonalds happy meals the Transformers toys lack articulation. They would however by good on display even though they only stand about 4-5 inches in height.

Note: McDonalds haven't had a Transformers happy meal premium in a while. The last time Transformers were featured by McDonalds was back in July 2008 with the Transformers Animated happy meal toys. This the second time that Hello Kitty watches have been promoted by McDonalds. There was a Hello Kitty fashion watch give away in February 2009 featuring 8 different Hello Kitty characters.

There are 6 Sanrio Hello Kitty Watches included in the McDonalds Sanrio happy meal promotion for 2010. Each watch features a super cute Hello Kitty character on the dial and the characters name on the strap. The watches are fully functional and have stop watch capability.

McDonalds Halloween Pails Mr Potato Head 2010

McDonalds Mr Potato Head Halloween Buckets are the latest happy meal promotion in the US and Canada. To celebrate the Halloween season McDonalds in association with Hasbro are giving away Halloween Pails featuring Mr Potato Head with every happy meal sold. The promotion runs for only a short time between October 15 and 28, 2010 so act quickly if you want to add these spooky pails to your McDonalds collection.

There are two different McDonalds Mr Potato Head Halloween pails in the promotion. The classic McBoo themed Halloween pails of past promotions in the 1980's and 1990's (traditionally three - pumpkin, ghost and witch) have been retired this time round in favor of this new Mr Potato Head version. But fear not even though the pails come with only a paper lid not a plastic one will still carry your candy and are perfect for the kids Trick or Treat night


Each Halloween pail comes with a bunch of decorative stickers featuring Mr Potato Head to adhere to the blank spots on the bucket. The fun part is that you get to add Mr Potato Head body parts such as arms, feet and eyes to the side of the pail. The stickers come attached to the lid and are easy to peel off and apply.

One problem with the stickers is that they will eventually wash off and as these are the kind of happy meal premium that people want to hang on to this feature hasn't been properly thought through. On the up side one of the very cool aspects of these McDonalds Halloween buckets is that the carry handle is detachable and doubles as a mask - you get to choose either a skull and cross bones or jack o'lantern.
