Lanvin Lives On

Did you know that fashion designer Jeanne Lanvin's grandson is an interior designer in Moscow?  Neither did I until yesterday.  I love when creativity runs in a family.  I also love that Jean-Yves Lanvin's apartment isn't as over the top as I've come to expect from Russian design but I guess that's because he's French.  You can see more of it as well as an interview here.  He also has a website which is unfortunately all in Russian but you can still look at the photos! Enjoy!

Lanvin for H&M Sneak Peek

The first looks from the upcoming Lanvin for H&M collaboration have been released and they have the fashion world in a tizzy.  The dresses are exactly what everyone loves about Lanvin and I'm sure they will be sold out in minutes.  I'm thinking about taking boxing lessons just so I can fight for one.  There will be a fashion show on November 2nd but the clothes won't be in stores until November 23rd.  Bonne chance!

Lanvin loves H&M!

The rumors that Lanvin and it's designer Alber Elbaz would be collaborating with H&M were confirmed yesterday!  Fashionistas everywhere are already in a tizzy and announced that they might actually stand in line for this new collection.  "I have said in the past that I would never do a mass-market collection, but what intrigued me was the idea of H&M going luxury rather than Lanvin going public” Elbaz said. “I really wanted to try the whole idea of brand, and not just a dress for less…It’s about creating a dream and giving it to people who couldn’t afford Lanvin. We thought it was a very relevant move.”  I'll see you in line on November 23rd!

Lanvin Madison Avenue Opens Today!

If you follow me on Twitter, then you know I've been stalking the progress of Lanvin store on Madison Avenue. Yesterday I noticed mannequins in the window and asked the nice French girl out front when they were going to open. I was rewarded with the words I was longing to hear, "tomorrow afternoon." Well, tomorrow is today and if anyone needs me, I will be at Lanvin shopping until I drop! While I am away, you can enjoy this sneak peak from WWD. A tout à l'heure!
